While the long-awaited 3G iPhone is still nothing moer than
a rumor, other cell phone makers are already updating their “iPhone killers.”
In a move similar to what happened last year, HTC unveiled HTC Touch Diamond,
the new 3G version of its HTC Touch.
Lat year, HTC Touch was unveiled on June 4, a month ahead of
the official launch of the iPhone.
As to technical specs, HTC Touch Diamond offers a 2.8” LCD
touch screen with backlight, a 240 x 320 dots resolution with 65,536 colors and
a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with video calling.

Microsoft will soon fit its Xbox 360 gaming console with a new GPU which will consume less power due to the 65nm manufacturing process. In August 2007, the Xbox was modified to include a 65-nm CPU and a 90-nm GPU, under the code name Falcon. The new incarnation, codenamed Jasper, will be out in August and will finally see the replacement of the 90-nm GPU. British operator Vodafone announced today that it will sell
Apple’s iPhone in ten countries. The world’s largest mobile operator will be
responsible for distributing the iPhone in Australia,
the Czech Republic,
Egypt, Greece, Italy,
India, Portugal, New
Zealand, South Africa
and Turkey.
The move could be interpreted as a clear sign that the 3G
iPhone is underway. Last year it was reported that Apple and Vodafone failed to
nail a deal regarding the iPhone distribution in Europe
due to the lack of 3G capabilities.

Microsoft has quickly shot down rumors that it plans to embed content filtering in its Zune gadgets. Several Internet news publications, including The New York Times, have said that Microsoft is going to implement a so-called "copyright cop" technology into its Zunes which would prevent playback of unauthorized copies of video files on them. The new and highly anticipated BlackBerry Bold 9000 has been
officially launched. The device is equipped with tri-band HSDPA and quad-band EDGE
support, which will allow it to use the highest-speed GSM-family data networks
available.
The detachable back will allow users to personalize their
