The death toll from a deadly cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe has risen to at least 565 people according to new figures from from the United Nations. The U.N. humanitarian affairs office said 12,546 people were thought to be infected with the disease, which under normal circumstances is preventable and treatable. The capital Harare is the worst affected. The water delivery system has broken down in the city and elsewhere in Zimbabwe, forcing residents to drink from contaminated wells and streams.
