The Uruguayan soccer championship was suspended on Monday (November 17) after violence erupted between rival fans.
The trouble started after a top-of-the-table match that saw Danubio beat Nacional 1-0.
Shortly after the final whistle, Nacional fans broke down the fencing at the tiny Jardines del Hipodromo stadium and invaded the pitch.
The suspension was announced by the sport's Executive Committee, the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) said in a statement.
