On the eve of the Beijing Olympic Games three American Christian activists are again dragged away near to Tiananmen Square. The activists were part of the Christian Defense Coalition who were protesting for religious freedom. This is the same group who had briefly protested against China's population control policies and forced abortions on the square on Wednesday (August 6) until they were stopped by police. They were then, unusually for security-wary China, allowed to leave. Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, can be heard saying, "we are the voice, the voice for those of the Falun Gong practitioners."
