Diplomat Ibrahim Gambari leaves Myanmar without achieving his key objective: meeting detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The UN envoy also failed to coax concessions from the military junta during his six-day mission to Myanmar - part of a UN push for reforms in the former Burma. Analysts say Gambari has had little to show for his efforts to get the junta to include Suu Kyi and her National League for Democracy in its plans to cede political control in a seven-step "roadmap to democracy". The junta's roadmap includes multi-party elections in 2010. Susan Flory reports.
