Toshiba aims to 'upscale' DVDs

After abandoning its HD DVD format earlier this year, Toshiba is launching a line of products which will upscale standard definition video to near high definition. The loser in the next generation DVD format war is again looking to take on Sony's Blu-Ray with a competing product offering for consumers looking for improved picture quality. Toshiba is looking to create momentum for its 'upscaling' products with an innovative advertising campaign that takes inspiration from the special effects in The Matrix. Reuters Technology Correspondent Matt Cowan reports.
