Row over Vatican schism-healing move

The Pope is under fire after lifting excommunications on four Bishops including one who denies the Holocaust. The Vatican has accepted the four ultra-conservative bishops back into the Roman Catholic Church after saying they had affirmed their willingness to accept Church teachings and papal authority. Nonetheless the inclusion of British-born Richard Williamson whose statements denying the full extent of the Nazi Holocaust have sparked an outcry and fears of serious harm to Catholic-Jewish relations.
