Obama vows to halve budget deficit

President Barack Obama pledged on Monday to cut the ballooning U.S. budget deficit by half in the next four years. That may be a tall order when the nearly $800 billion stimulus plan, the $2.5 trillion bank bailout plan and the $250 billion mortgage lending program are factored into the equation.
