It's not an industry with the best of reputations but tighter access to mainstream credit is helping to turn that around. The 3,000 years old industry is still perceived by some as a bit shady.A squeeze on credit, coupled with high gold prices has heightened awareness and understanding of the industry that's resulting in more new customers walking through pawnbrokers doors. Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.
