With just over two weeks left before the Nov. 4 election, Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama leads his rival John McCain in national opinion polls.
Those results are repeated in many of the battleground states that are crucial to the outcome of the race. Republican presidential candidate John McCain, an Arizona senator, tried to erode the advantage Obama has built on the issue of the economy as he spent a day campaigning in traditionally Republican states that are now up for grabs -- North Carolina and Virginia.Penny Tweedie reports.
