Two Israeli towns are hit by rockets as German Foreign Minister in Israel says he's shocked by the destruction in Gaza but acknowledges Israel's right to self defence. Though cross-border Palestinian salvoes have diminished, the rockets struck Beersheba and Sderot inside Israel, the military said. One woman was slightly hurt. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with Israeli President Shimon Peres in a bid to reach a truce agreement between the Jewish state and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as a conflict between the sides reached its 16th day. Penny Tweedie reports.
