Scenes of chaos unfold as aid is distributed at a compound on the outskirts of Goma. Thousands of people gathered to receive food handouts in the war torn eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The World Food Programme and UNICEF distributed aid to those who have recently fled fighting between the government and Tutsi rebel forces in areas near Goma. The attacks by fighters loyal to rebel leader, General Laurent Nkunda, have forced thousands of families from their homes in North Kivu province on the border with Rwanda. Basmah Fahim reports.
