Dresden celebrates its annual Stollenfest by showing off the 4.2 metre long Stollen cake. The cake weighs close to three and a half tonnes, and was paraded through the city on a horse-drawn carriage. All the city's pastry chefs contribute to the making of the cake. The Stollen contains one tonne of flour, 2.6 million raisins, 550 grammes of butter and 82 litres of rum, according to the festival's organisers. The festival has its roots in the 18th century.
