Berlin gets ready to host the G20 preparatory meeting, where European leaders aim to find a common line ahead of the full G20 meeting on reforming global financial rules in April. The leaders of countries including Germany, France, Britain and Spain are also expected to discuss protectionism, troubles in eastern Europe, tax havens and what to do with toxic bank assets.
