Israel's Defence Minister Ehud Barak orders Gaza crossing to stay closed for another day.
A statement issued by the Defence Minister's office said preparations to open the borders have been halted, after militants fired a rocket into southern Israel.
Israel's blockade of the Gaza strip began on November 4th, when Israeli troops raided an area to destroy what they say were tunnels built by militants planning to abduct Israeli soldiers.
Hamas and other Palestinian groups responded by firing rockets into southern Israel. Over the past two weeks of cross-border fighting, dozens of Palestinian militants have been killed, and mortar shells and rockets have been launched into southern Israel.
