Fighting in Sri Lanka intensifies

Tamil Tiger rebels and Sri Lankan troops fight fierce battles in the north of the country with both claiming they've inflicted heavy casualties on the other. The Sri Lankan Defence Ministry said troops were advancing on the Tamil Tiger rebel's administrative town of Kilinochchi from three directions amidst heavy fighting. Kilinochchi is the prime target of the government's offensive to try to crush the rebels, and end their decades-long fight for a separate state for the ethnic Tamil minority. Penny Tweedie reports.
