The Cunard ocean liner, Queen Elizabeth II, made its final journey on Wednesday (November 26) ahead of its arrival into Dubai port to become a luxury hotel. Escorted by naval vessels and over 60 local boats, the QE2 left Southampton, UK on November 11 and will be turned into a luxury hotel on the man-made island, Palm Jumeriah by developers Nakheel. QE2 was lunched by Queen Elizabeth on September 20, 1967 and has crossed the Atlantic 803 times, travelling over 5.6 million nautical miles.
