23-year-old student and model Kate Menson from Ghana is the 2008 'M-NET Face of Africa'.
Menson had previously tried out for the competition but didn't make it through the audition phase.
The 23 year old spent two years following her rejection, training hard and was over the moon when she was chosen at this year's casting in Accra, Ghana.
She was first discovered hawking bread on the streets of Lagos and had now walked away as the Face of Africa with 50,000 U.S. dollars and a three-year modelling contract with modelling agency OModel Africa also valued at 50,000 USD.
