President-elect Obama's rock star appeal lures celebrities as well as the powerless, but one expert says celebirtydom could help as well as hurt. Obama's charisma could help create buzz and pull in many previously apolitical people, but it could also backfire on him if he makes a misstep, says communications expert professor David Birdsell of Baruch College.
