U.S. President George W. Bush said the territorial integrity of Georgia must be respected and called on Russia to respect an agreed upon cease-fire. President George W. Bush visited the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia on Thursday where he was briefed on the U.S. "war on terror" and the conflict in Georgia. Bush has sent Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to France to consult on efforts to end the conflict and Tbilisi to show U.S. support for Georgia, following criticism that Washington's first response was lackluster. The United States has sent military C-17 cargo planes with aid supplies to Georgia and is considering sending U.S. Navy hospital ships.
