An American communications trainee - known as Alpinekat on the web, has become famous for her "CERN Rap" which explains in rhymes the Large Hadron Collider. Just under 5 minutes long, the clip has already scored more than 1.4 million hits on YouTube. It starts with physicists in white blouses dancing 100 meters underground in the LHC tunnel. Entirely written and produced by the 23-year-old trainee in CERN's communication department, the clip explains in simple rhymes and words what the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment will consist in doing and what it aims at discovering. Sonia Legg reports.
