Bernanke signals possible rate cut

In a dramatic shift, Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke signaled a readiness to lower U.S. interest rates in an effort to support an economy battered by financial crisis. Bernanke said the outlook for inflation, while still uncertain, has improved somewhat as oil and other commodity prices have eased.
