Asia shares fell

Asian stocks fell and government bonds rose Tuesday as investors said the U.S. takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac addressed some risks from the financial crisis but had not solved it. Japan's benchmark Nikkei fell, with exporters sliding on a firmer yen and uncertainty over the global economy. Oil prices fell back toward a five-month low, resuming a near two-week slide.
