The only movie house in the West Bank town of Jenin is getting a major facelift courtesy of a German foundation and the labour and enthusiasm of Palestinian locals.
Residents of the northern West Bank haven't had a cinema for 20 years.
Cinema Jenin was one of the first casualties of the first Palestinian uprising, the Intifada, in 1987.
German donors have big plans for the former movie house. It's to become a major cultural centre.
Movies and documentaries will be screened and there will be workshops teaching dance and drama.
