Just like with every other domain, the technological field has its own set of juicy rumors that stir up not only expectations, but sometimes even trouble if reality falls short of fantasy.
In the Macworld, a rumor has excited customers and potential customers alike. According to a report issued by iDealsChina, it seems that Apple is planning to launch a new version of the iPhone, namely a Nano iPhone. The Nano iPhone is said to be a smaller, less expensive version of the already highly popular iPhone.
The rumor is even more believable as iDealsChina has published a photo of what is supposed to be the iPhone Nano’s case. iDealsChina states that the silicone-case designer is XSKN.
This might all be just a publicity stunt for Apple, as the company’s Macworld Expo, which is to take place in San Francisco, is just three weeks away. Again, according to iDealsChina, it appears that Steve Jobs’ plan is to use the Expo to launch the new product. The iPhone Nano allegedly sports a touchscreen and a camera, but it has so far been reported that it will be lacking 3G.
This is not the first time that the blogosphere has launched or spread rumors regarding smaller, cheaper iPhones – the first musings concerning a possible iPhone Nano occurred in July 2007.
