As always before an Apple event, everyone is playing the
guessing game, titled “What will announce Steve Jobs?”.
As always, Apple has dropped just one hint: an invitation,
which pictures the silhouette of man with an iPod and the title of the event, “Let’s
Rock”.
As you can imagine, the rumors that Apple will revamp its
iPod lineup are running high and the guys from iLounge
have managed to obtain some pictures that could be the blueprints of the fourth-generation
iPod nano and second-generation iPod touch.
Judging by those pictures, the new iPod nano will be 90.75mm
tall by 38.75mm wide by 6.08mm deep, compared to the second-generation nano’s
measurements of 90mm by 40mm by 6.5mm.
As for the iPod Touch it seems like the allegedly new
generation will measure 111mm tall by 61.8mm wide and 8.4mm deep, versus the
original iPod touch’s 110mm height, 61.8mm width, and 8mm depth.
Is those pictures are accurate it means that the new iPod
touch will be shorter and thinner than the iPhone. However, as even iLounge
noted, the pictures should be taken with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile, other rumors are flying around. For example,
there are some analysts saying that Apple would release a cheaper version of
iPhone, while others are predicting that Apple might announce a partnership
with Sirius for iPod touch.
There is one more week until the Apple’s event, so I am
willing to bet that there will be more rumors in the next few days.
