Gale Harold, who joined the cast of hit series “Desperate
Housewives” several months ago, has suffered severe injuries in a motorcycle
accident and is said to be in critical condition.
As a result of the crash, which took place in California, Gale Harold
fractured his shoulder and has swelling on the brain.
USC
Medical Center
spokeswoman Adelaida De La Cerda said that the actor was waiting for the
results of additional medical investigations, the Associated Press reported.
The ABC show’s creator Marc Cherry explained that it will
take approximately two weeks for Gale Harold to recover from the injuries he
suffered in the unfortunate accident.
“We’re hearing he’s going to be fine, but he’s going to be
recovering for a couple of weeks,” Marc Cherry said. Moreover, he said that
Gale Harold was due to film several scenes for “Desperate Housewives” this
week, but the accident may nevertheless interfere with the shooting plans.
Some say he’s in critical condition, others say he’s fine.
Whose word should we take on this?
The actor’s representative, Nancy Selzer, said that Gale
Harold was expected for a full recovery, adding that no one else had been
wounded in the motorcycle crash.
In “Desperate Housewives,” Gale Harold impersonates Jackson,
the new love interest of Teri Hatcher’s character, who is said to play a
crucial role in the fifth season’s eighth episode.
The actor also appeared in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Law and Order:
SVU,” “Deadwood” and “The Unit.”
