It is well known that with the Internet came endless possibilities for artists to promote their creations online, but there has always been a problem concerning streaming music online from an account. Generally, people want the songs they like to belong to them forever, to be able to access them whenever they want to.
Unfortunately, with most music streaming sites, once a user stops paying his monthly fee, his favorite songs also become inaccessible. This is terribly frustrating as one user might have bought his right to listen to his favorite tracks whenever he wants, but he can’t do this without a viable account.
Recently, Zune has made users an offer that is hard to refuse, given today’s music streaming situation. Zune has declared that its users will get a lot more from the monthly pass of $15. With the subscription fee, the user can also chose 10 songs per month that he can keep and listen forever.
The typical price for downloading a track is $1, so, basically, users only pay $5 for accessing Zune’s music library. This is a good deal and it is certain that it will attract even more people to subscribe to the music streaming site.
Zune’s new policy is definitely a step forward in how streaming sites should perform but it doesn’t solve the whole matter altogether. Subscribing in order to listen to music seems like an old concept, and with today’s technology and Internet high speed connections, better deals could be offered, better serving both music vendors and the people.
