According to the Holland Township Police Department, police and child protection officials from the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services took into custody on Friday a 3-year-old boy named Adolf Hitler and his two younger sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 1, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, 8 months from their family.
Citing confidentiality, the police and a court spokeswoman have not revealed the exact reasons for which the children were removed from their home, but a child protection official indicated that it was not because of the children's names. Actually, there was given absolutely no reason whatsoever for the taking into protective custody by the authorities of the three children. Furthermore, Holland Township police chief David Van Gilson stated that they had not received any reports of abuse or negligence.
The unusual situation became public last month, when the young boy’s parents were outraged by the fact that a supermarket bakery refused to put the name of their son on a birthday cake.
Father Heath Campbell told the Easton Express-Times back in December that the cake-maker does not have a good reason to reject his request, for the argument is about some names and nothing more. He also added that even if he named his children Nazi names, they will not be brought up as the bad people the Nazi were back in their time.
In spite of that, the Campbells seem to actually deny the Holocaust, not to mention the fact that their home is decorated with swastikas.
Heath and Deborah Campbell were scheduled to appear in court in Hunterdon County on Tuesday, but it was apparently postponed.
