According to the men's magazine Esquire, Halle Berry is definitely the Sexiest Woman Alive. Despite her being becoming a mom in March, she still looked incredible in the shooting for the November issue of the magazine. "I don't know exactly what it means, but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I'll take it," the former Bong girl said about her new status.
The actress, who gave birth to her daughter, Nahla, in March, says that sexiness is definitely all about attitude, self esteem and self respect: "Sexiness is a state of mind – a comfortable state of being,'' she says. ''It's about loving yourself in your most unlovable moments.''
But that’s not all. Berry, who won an Oscar for her role in "Monster's Ball," can't claim the sexiest-woman honor all to herself: "I share this title with every woman, because every woman is a nominee for it at any moment," she says. She will probably win some new female fans as well after this impressive and encouraging message.
These statements can be found on the magazine's website, www.esquire.com, along with a parody of a 2000 cover photograph of former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Esquire said it dressed Berry in a version of Clinton's suit jacket and blue tie to recreate an iconic cover for its 75th anniversary celebration.
Halle Berry is the first African American actress to win the Oscar for Best Actress for role of Leticia Musgrove in “Monster's Ball” in 2001. Moreover, her dress for the 2002 Oscars ceremony was voted the most popular from the first 75 years.
