Xbox 360 To Be Bundled With Two Free Games

How do you boost the sales of a two years-old gaming console? Of course the first method will be a new, slightly different version. Then what? Maybe a price cut? Done! What’s next? Hey, is all about gaming, remember!? So let’s start bundle our precious gaming console with some new great games. Especially since the holiday season is coming!

Probably this is what Microsoft thought because they have just announced that it will include two great games with every Xbox 360 console and Xbox 360 Elite, a retail savings of $90.

The games are Forza Motorsport 2, the sequel of Forza Motorsport, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, an all-new action/RPG where players create their Marvel dream team from the largest roster of Super Heroes ever in an epic quest that will determine the fate of Earth and the Marvel universe.  According to Microsoft the bundles will be available at retailers by the end of October.

Although both games were released few months ago (which in gaming world means they are old), they had impressive reviews so Microsoft’s new offer is a tempting one

Though, last week it was widely rumored that the Core Pack is to be re-branded under the name Xbox 360 Arcade, Microsoft hasn’t made any official announcement.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is facing a tough competition during this holiday season as Sony has promised 65 new games and Nintendo Wii continues to sell like hot cakes.

Still Microsoft has a quite impressive holiday line-up with titles like Madden NFL 08, BioShock, the record-breaking Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing  4, Mass Effect, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Earlier this week, it was reported that since its release on September 25 Halo 3 has doubled the sales of Xbox 360, so maybe this will be a great holiday season for Microsoft gaming division.
