Being a vegetarian sure paid off for singers Carrie Underwood and Kevin Eubanks who were crowned "World's Sexiest Vegetarians" by PETA (People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Besides their position regarding animal rights, PETA also makes a list and promotes a list of the sexiest vegetarian celebrities. This year’s winner were announced Tuesday in New York City.
The 24-year-old Grammy-winning country singer is no stranger to the contest which she won two years ago while for 49-year-old Eubanks, leader of NBC's "Tonight Show" band, it’s a first.
Underwood has been a vegetarian since she was 13, and admits, "I don't like to watch commercials where they have meat. It weirds me out."
The runner-ups in the contest, courtesy of VOA News, included Joaquin Phoenix, Milo Ventimiglia, Kristen Bell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jared Leto, and Lisa Edelstein. More than 110,000 votes were cast to name the king and queen of the vegetarians.
Previous winners include Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone, Josh Hartnett, Tobey Maguire, Shania Twain, Andre 3000, and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin.
Last year, pint-sized pop Prince and Bell, late of "Veronica Mars," took the sexy veggie titles.
