Legendary rock star Bruce Springsteen has come clean on his website on Tuesday regarding his plans for a world tour. And it is quite natural, since his latest album, “Working on a Dream” already hit music stores.
The artist, whose theme song to hit movie “The Wrestler” earned him a Golden Globe, has confirmed dates across the US and Europe in the spring and summer.
Springsteen and his E Street Band will start their 47-date tour on the 1st of April at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Before crossing the Atlantic in order to be at Dutch festival Pinkpop on the 30th of May, they also will perform in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago and other U.S. cities. Their last tour together was in 2007.
As for the European dates, well, Springsteen and his crew will be in Stockholm, Munich, Vienna, Rome, Turin and Bilbao, wrapping things up in Spain, on the 2nd of August, in Santiago.
But until he sets off on the tour, the 59-year-old rock star has some urgent business to attend to. He is expected to perform at the half-time show for the Super Bowl professional football championship on Sunday.
Bruce Springsteen’s 24th album, “Working on a Dream,” has received a five-star rating from Rolling Stone magazine while other reviews were not so enthusiastic about it, saying that it does not sound like the singer at all, which is quite an odd sensation considering that when you hear Springsteen's music you are always keenly aware of his persona - his history, his politics, his voice.
