WoW Expansion “Wrath of the Lich King” to Be Released in November

The moment all World of Warcraft fans have been waiting for – the release of the video game’s expansion “Wrath of the Lich King” – is very near. Passionate gamers will soon have the possibility to get behind the armor of a Dark Knight.

How soon?

Blizzard Entertainment has finally made public the release date of the long-awaited game expansion - November 13. The expansion features a new continent, an 80 level cap (the previous was 70), new character customization options, new items and weapons and the list goes on.

“Wrath of the Lich King” also brings achievement system and the first Hero class, the necromantic Death Knight.

On November 13 the game will also hit the shelves in Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia. The next day, November 14, gamers in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand will get their hands on “Wrath of the Lich King” as well. Then on November 18, the expansion will also reach Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

The release date for China will be released later, the company said.

The game comes in two packages: the standard edition ($39.99) and the Collector's Edition priced ($69.99). For 20 bucks extra you can get an art book, an exclusive in-game pet, a behind-the-scenes DVD, a soundtrack CD, a mousepad with a map of Northrend and two starter decks for the World of Warcraft trading card game March of the Legion.
