Windows 7, Greatest Vista Ever, Analysts Say

Even though it is continously compared to Vista, Windows 7 promises to be a

When it was released, Windows Vista’s faith was certain: to be the most criticized operating system that Microsoft has ever released. Compatibility issues of the first iterations of Vista and the hardware requirements to run the OS have been putting many people off from buying that Windows with transparent taskbar in time.

Still, as Windows 7 has become increasingly popular since the Redmond giant released the free public beta version of the OS, some analysts started to think whether Windows Vista was indeed a total failure as an operating system, or it was just the media that kept amplifying its bad image, making Vista look as your computer’s worst nightmare.

Well, there were indeed compatibility issues, along with other glitches of the search-indexing feature, but many people forget that Microsoft addressed them quickly by releasing many updates. Still, the general opinion just couldn’t be changed with a bunch of updates.

Microsoft realized that there was not much to do in order to make Vista the OS of the day, so the company focused on developing a new version, Windows 7. Of course, many argued that the interface is almost a carbon copy of Vista, along with the architecture of the core processes. Even Microsoft stated that the new operating system is more about evolution, rather than revolution. In addition, if one thinks about how the Vista-revolution worked out, one will see that Microsoft did the right thing.

It is quite interesting to see that Windows 7 beta was acclaimed by reviewers, the consensus being that the new OS looks very promising and that Windows has managed to release the most stable and the speediest beta release ever.

The Windows 7 hype has gone so far, that some journalists even wondered whether Windows 7 will steal a good part of Apple’s share with the Mac OS X environment.

A reasonable observation would be that Windows is no longer seen as the default computer operating system and that people know that there are many alternatives that prove to be very as reliable and as quick. The thing is that Microsoft will certainly achieve its goal with its new operating systems because it will surely convince a good part of the XP veterans to switch to the new environment, as the company realized that this would be their biggest market.

It is clear to see that many people will forget about the economic crisis in fall 2009 and will go down and buy Windows 7, as it should be considered the fastest and the most dependable Windows environment ever. Well, some might consider it the best version of Vista...
