Actually, Will Smith has become the first actor ever to star in eight straight movies that took in more than $100 million at the box office
The second place was taken by "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp. The "Sweeney Todd" Oscar nominee cashed in $72 million over the past 12 months.
"Shrek" co-stars Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers shared the third spot with earnings totaling as much as $55 million over that 12-month stretch, while "The Departed" Oscar-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio earned $45 million while working on movies that will be released in the near future.
Hollywood’s leading actress at the box office was Cameron Diaz, who earned $50 million for her roles in the latest "Shrek" movie and "What Happens in Vegas." Keira Knightley came in second with earning of approximately $32 million, and ex-"Friends" star Jennifer Aniston tallied $27 million.
However, the list made by Forbes shows that the 10 best-paid actors outearned the 10 best-paid actresses by 2 to 1 over the past 12 months.
Nevertheless, the highest-earning media personality was a woman. Billionaire Oprah Winfrey remained the number 1 with earnings of as much as $275 million.
