New challenges arise for the recovering actress as she is set to host a New Year’s eve bash at LAX in Las Vegas, Us Weekly reported.
Lindsay Lohan, who skipped her Vegas 21st birthday party on July 2 to focus on her treatment in rehab, is forced to host a New Year’s blowout at Las Vegas hot spot LAX, in order to honor the agreement she had with the club’s management (Pure Nightclub and LAX are owned by Pure Management Group.)
However, according to sources close to the actress, Lindsay isn’t keen to make her comeback to the club scene, especially since she’s been trying so hard to stay sober less than a month since she’s been out of Cirque Lodge rehabilitation clinic in Utah where she spent most of her summer.
"Lindsay doesn’t necessarily want to host, but she’s contractually obligated," a source said, explaining that the starlet had already agreed to do the gig in order to pay back the "hundreds of thousands of dollars" she was given for agreeing to host her birthday there.
"She already took the money from the birthday gig and can’t afford to pay them back," Us reported.
And to make Lindsay’s task to host the party even more difficult, her father, Michael Lohan, who has been quite absent from the media lately, has been praising his daughter’s behavior recently telling OK! Magazine: "She’s in the right place in her heart and mind and soul."
As far Lindsay’s new boyfriend Riley Giles, whom the actress met while in rehab, is concerned, the former convict claims that his daughter and Giles are made for each other.
"Riley is a good kid. He comes from a good family. It’s not about what we did in the past. It’s about righting those wrongs," Michael, who was out promoting his GodMen event in Daytona Beach, Florida, said.
"I don’t think anyone has the right to judge Riley. They [Lindsay & Riley] keep each other in line. They go to meetings with one another," he added.
