For Tina and her husband Phillip Sherman of Arkansas, the
meaning of cheap meat at McDonalds changed. They also learnt that it’s not a
good idea to leave your phone in the “care” of McDonalds’ employees you don’t
know, especially if it’s not password protected, and especially if it has
pictures of your wife’s naked buns.
According to a $3 million dollar lawsuit the couple filed
against McDonald’s and its employees, Phillip left his cell phone at a McDonald’s
in Fayetteville, Arkansas on July 5th. He reported the loss and
staff at the restaurant said they’d hold the phone till he came for it. They
did, but that’s not all they were up to.
All of a sudden Tina Sherman and her husband started to
receive obscene phone calls. It was discovered that pictures of her, naked, which
she’d sent to her husband’s cell had gotten posted on the internet along with her
name, phone number, and address. Now that’s hairy situation to get into. The
pictures were eventually removed but by that time the harm was done. Needless
to say, after a few threats, the Shermans had to move out of their home.
The couple sued McDonald’s Corporation, Matthews Management
Co. and manager Aaron Brummley. The latter is most likely not directly responsible
however, as the pictures were most likely posted by some younger employees who
thought it was a very funny joke. The (anonymous) posters of the photos did
admit on the website in question that they got the photos from a cell phone
found in a restaurant.
This should be an interesting trial filled with euphemisms
for one’s behind. We’ll keep you posted on the result.
