Why Britney Failed To Gain Kids’ Custody Again

Britney Spears’ continuous chaotic behavior and no obvious improvement determined a Los Angeles judge to rule in favor of the very troubled singer’s former husband, Kevin Federline, who will continue having primary physical custody of little Sean Preston and Jayden Jams.

A decision was finally reached on Tuesday in the bitter custody battle between Britney and K-Fed after last week’s postponement and the "Gimme More" singer will get to see her children during there visits a week, two daytime visits from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 p.m. and one overnight visit.

The current visitation orders stand until the former couple's child custody evaluation is completed.

Issuing the ruling, Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Scott Gordon concluded that when Britney has the kids, "the environment at the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all."

According to court papers, the 25-year-old mother of two also failed to keep appointments with the coach, Lisa Hacker, on three occasions before finally holding a series of sessions.

The parenting coach’s report mentioned several issues which "concerned" the Commissioner immensely, including the fact that Britney is not child-centered, although she seems to love her children who are bonded to her, while she has a general "lack of attention at times," and shows "no interest in talking to or utilizing [the parenting coach’s] guidance."

"It seems that her choices are more dependent upon what she wants to do at any given time rather than what would be more enjoyable for the children."

"During all three of my visits, Ms. Spears rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play," the parenting coach told the judge adding that "The problem is that unless Ms. Spears realizes the consequences of her behavior and the impact that it has [on] her children, nothing is going to be successful."

However, following Hacker’s report submission on October 19th, she had one more visit with Britney, in which the singer did seem more engaged with her sons. While that was a good sign, the parenting coach said it raised questions as to why the other three visits were less positive.

Above all, Britney, who was ordered to submit to random drug and alcohol testing during a previous hearing last month, must continue submitting to drug testing twice a week, despite her lawyer’s best efforts to remove the order.

The two parties who recently met for the third time since their separation in November last year are due back in court November 26, while Britney has until Friday to submit evidence she childproofed her pool area.
