It seems that Kanye West can’t get enough Grammy acclaim. Despite the fact that the 31-year-old singer has collected 10 Grammy awards throughout his music career, he has drawn attention with his high expectations with regard to such honors.
And although the artist has received very important trophies during the past few years, he did not sink into victory as other musicians had done before. Winning Grammy prizes helped numerous artists reach fame but nonetheless worked as a curse to others, who left the music scene soon after being awarded with a Grammy or two.
Apparently, this is not the case with Kanye West, who saw his career bloom while also leading the musical map.
The 51st Grammy awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday in Los Angeles and are very likely to draw both attention and audiences, since everybody longs to find out who leaves with a handful of statuettes.
Should Lil’ Wayne, who leads the contenders list, lead the winners list as well, or should Coldplay steal the show? We don’t know for sure the name of the winners, but we can obviously take wild guesses and keep our fingers crossed for our favorite artists.
Thus, it should come as no surprise if Ne-Yo fans consider the musician’s “Year of the Gentleman” the best album of the year and Radiohead aficionados fancy “In Rainbows” instead.
The names of the big winners will be revealed very soon, but, in the meantime, hope comes first.
