Even if Barack Obama, the U.S. presidential candidate, could have a song or two by rapper Ludacris in his playlist, that doesn’t mean that he can’t tell when the rapper is crossing the line.

Rapper Ludacris, by his real name Christopher Bridges, made a song in which he supports Barack Obama but offends his opponents. According to BBC, Obama’s presidential campaign rejected the rapper’s new song, calling it “outrageously offensive.”

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Sen. Clinton, Rev. Jackson, Sen. McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear,” said campaign spokesman Bill Burton in an e-mail statement on Wednesday.

Ludacris is not at all shy about calling President Bush “mentally challenged” and insulting Hillary Clinton and John McCain. He used a misogynistic term, which is almost omnipresent in hip-hop songs, to describe Hillary Clinton and, referring to John McCain, the Republican candidate, the rapper said that he didn’t belong in “any chair unless he’s paralyzed.”

““Hilary hated on you/ so that b**** is irrelevant,” while “McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed,” said the song. Moreover, the rapper doesn’t spare the Reverend Jesse Jackson who apologized for his remarks.

“If you said it then you meant it,” sings the rapper.

In the song, Ludacris also encourages black people to vote for Barack Obama and the repeating verse is “the world is ready for change 'cause Obama is here.”

While Barack Obama admits that Ludacris is “a talented individual,” he says that the rapper “should be ashamed of these lyrics.” Earlier this year, Barack Obama said in a Rolling Stones interview that he considered Ludacris one of the hip-hop stars who are “great talents and great businessmen.”

Ludacris’ publicist and manager haven’t yet returned calls in order to comment.
