What’s On Tap at Google for 2009?

Maybe Google didn’t do much during 2008, but it surely has some clear plans for the year to come. For example, Garret Rogers from ZDNet believes that there will be various mobile devices which will run Google’s Android mobile operating system. Yet, what’s the news? There will be more Android devices from Sprint, Samsung, Motorola and many other companies.

Another rumor tells that there will also be an Android notebook released next year. Well, let it come, since 2008 has been the year of so many gadgets release. Besides Dell’s Adamo and its new thin appearance, there was Acer Aspire One notebook which was said to be the best release of the 2008.

So we get to wonder: why won’t the Linux-based Android OS attract as many consumers as the Ubuntu-EEE operating system on ASUS does? Rogers added that Google will lead the deals for the release of computer OEMs for Chrome. In addition, he said that Chrome will experience some little problems with a "significant chunk of the browser market."

Alex Chitu from Google Operating System thinks that Chrome will get almost 10% of the browser market for 2009. Won’t it be too much considering that Chrome has landed less than 1% at four months since it had been released?

Yet, if Google releases some OEMs for Android and gets Chrome into those computers, the percentage for Chrome might reach fabulous numbers. But Mozilla proved that Internet Explorer isn’t hard to be beat and if it can get 20% in a bunch of years, why won’t Chrome be able to get 10% in a year?
