Trouble seems to following pop princess Britney Spears, no matter where she goes. Recently, we have been seeing a new Britney – or rather, the old Britney, before the drugs, alcoholism, DUIs, accidents, head shaving, lost custody battles and all-night topless partying with Paris Hilton.

Britney has lately been making appearances after taking showers and after putting on underwear. Her clothes math a lot better, her hair is shiny and untangled, and she seems to have gotten her weight and muscle tone back on the right track.

Regardless, her trials (and tribulations) are far from being over. Let’s take the case of Britney hitting a parked car and fleeing the scene in August 2007. The trial is still on, and during the last court appearance, father Jamie Spears took the stand to protect his daughter. He seems to be taking parenting quite seriously, as he has also been handling Britney’s health and business.

If we take a look at Britney’s 1800 turnaround, we can concur that Jamie has been doing a good job. During the trial, Britney was accused of driving with a Louisiana driver’s license and without a California one, a crime because Britney spends most of her time in California, making the Golden State her residency state.

Paparazzo Sandro Rodrigues testified against Britney Spears, him being the one who took her picture after she shaved her head, for example. Having followed Britney Spears around for so long, he was a valid witness in establishing where exactly the star spends most of her time in. Her father said that Britney is planning on moving back to Louisiana, but is being held back by the custody battle with Kevin Federline. The closing arguments are to be delivered today.
