Wenger's Arsenal Routs Derby 5-0

Emmanuel Adebayor scored a hat-trick as Arsenal recorded their fourth successive Premier League win after crashing Derby County 4-0.

The Gunners opened score in the 10th minute through Abou Diaby, who penetrated the enemy defense and blasted a powerful shot from the edge of the area past goal keeper Stephen Bywater.

Adebayor double the Londoners lead in the 26th minute after receiving a superb pass over Derby’s defense from Cesc Fabregas and put it past Bywater, who will certainly want to forget this match.

After a terrible first half, the second didn’t proved to be any better for Derby. Minutes after the half time Matt Oakley pulled down Eduardo da Silva in the penalty box. Adebayor executed the penalty kick to score his second goal.

Fabregas scored Arsenal’s fourth with a strike form the edge of the box and Adebayor completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute with a cold-blooded finish after some excellent ball control.

Arsčne Wenger’s confirmed the top form in which they are as this win came after Arsenal’s spectacular comeback at Tottenham and Wednesday’s wonderful display against Sevilla.

Arsenal is four points clear at the top of the Premiership standings, at least until Manchester City FC meet Fulham FC later today.

However, the highlight of the day is Chelsea’s match at raining champions Manchester United, especially after Jose Mourinho said goodbye to the Blues and his spot was taken by Avraham Grant. Both teams are five points behind Arsenal.

The Gunners’ only imperfection at this season start is the 1-1 draw against Blackburn, and even then they didn’t win all three points because of a goal keeper error, and not because they didn’t play well.

Arsčne Wenger made several changes to the lineup that crashed Sevilla in the Champions League group stage on Wednesday. Wenger couldn’t use Hleb and Rosicky due to injury and he replaced them Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott. Netherlands’ van Persie was also replaced with Eduardo in the starting lineup.

“It was very enjoyable because we kept our focus after the Champions League game and we were serious from the first until last-minute…Overall it was a convincing performance,” Wenger told Sky Sports.

Adebayor’s hat-trick certainly made Arsenal fans think there is still life after Thierry Henry, who left the English club for FC Barcelona. Asked whether Adebayor was the man to take up the goal scoring task of the French striker, Wenger answered that all his strikers are capable of doing that.

“Yes him, van Persie I think that they are exceptional strikers, both, and Eduardo and Bendtner who are exceptional talents. We have four excellent strikers, Adebayor is scoring at the moment, van Persie too and I’m sure the others will as well,” continued Wenger
