Mary-Louise Parker has officially called off the engagement
to TV show Weeds co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a few months after the
announcement.
According to the Associated Press, even though they seemed
to have a great time together, the apparent reason for the annulment was the
different lifestyles of the two involved. However, the new turn of events will
not make them avoid each other as they decided to remain friends. Unfortunately,
not much information is available on the subject as the former couple decided
not to bring the media into the break-up.
A representative for Morgan announced the Associated Press
by email that the actor had no comment on the subject and also Parker’s
spokesperson had a similar response.
The two started dating in 2006, after meeting on the set of
their popular TV show. They had a brief breakup last June and announced the
engagement at the beginning of this year with the wedding expected to take
place over the summer.
Jeffrey Morgan, 41-years-old, apart from his Weeds role, is
known for playing Danny on Grey’s Anatomy.
Before the relationship with Jeffrey, Mary-Louise Parker was
involved with actor Billy Crudup who decided, after seven years together, to
leave seven months pregnant Louise and start dating Claire Danes causing a huge
media commotion. Last year she adopted a baby girl and now lives with both
children. She has been formerly romantically associated with Adam Duritz, lead
singer for the Counting Crows and also actor Timothy Hutton.
For the two, the upcoming fourth season of Weeds, which
premiers June 16, will hopefully bring a good change, distracting attention
from their personal lives.
