We Still Care What Lindsay Does

She’s been through ups and downs, mostly downs lately, but nothing shows more that Lindsay Lohan’s fans are loyal and eager to see her return to acting than the reaction to news she would appear on “Ugly Betty.”

Lindsay Lohan will appear in the season finale of the ABC sitcom “Ugly Betty,” a representative for the network confirmed to People.com. “The deal became official early yesterday morning,” the rep said in the Sunday, May 4 report.

An unnamed on-set source had more details for the magazine, revealing that the 21-year-old actress had been on the set filming on Saturday. She is portraying a high school friend of America Ferrera’s Betty character.

“Lindsay was on time and actually arrived to set early,” the source said, commending Lindsay for her punctuality and seriousness. “She did a good job.”

The source also added Lindsay would appear in five episodes of season three.

Lindsay Lohan has been keeping a moderately low profile over the past several months, following a prolonged stay in rehab last summer. She had all eyes on her in February, when she posed for Bert Stern in a re-creation of Marilyn Monroe’s “Last Sitting” for a New York magazine photo shoot.

Shortly after the controversy sparked by her rendition of the Hollywood icon’s final sitting, Lindsay was (unfortunately) crowned Queen of the Razzies, as her thriller movie “I Know Who Killed Me” received an unprecedented eight Razzies. She won in the worst actress, worst supporting actress and worst screen couple categories.

Some good news followed, with her casting in the Patriot Pictures comedy “Ye Olde Times,” where she co-stars alongside Jack Black in a. An unnamed source told E! News in late February that the film follows “two rival Renaissance Faire troupes as they make their way through the competitive circuit.”

Lindsay has other acting commitments as well. She will play in a film about crazed murderer Charles Manson, portraying one of the female cult followers that gravitated around Charles Manson at the time when he was young and apparently charming to certain people.

The film, titled “Manson Girls,” is being produced by Brad Wyman of Junction Films.
