“White Chicks” and “Scary Movie” creators Keenen Ivory,
Shawn and Marlon Wayans will appear in a cop movie parody, which has been set
up at Paramount Pictures.
The three brothers, who wrote the screenplay, plan to star in
and produce the movie, alongside longtime producing partner Rick Alvarez, according
to Variety’s website Monday.
Keenen Ivory Wayans, who led the first two installments in
the Wayans brothers’ blockbuster “Scary Movie,” will also handle directing
duties on the film.
“Cop Movie” would seem to be the obvious title of the movie,
but the three brothers have not disclosed the real title yet.
Keenen Ivory, Shawn and Marlon Wayans had tremendous success
with the “Scary Movie” franchise, which has pulled in more than $420 million domestically
for Dimension Films and everyone involved in the project.
The three brothers had collaboration on the Sony comedy “Little
Man,” appeared in the big-screen comedy “White Chicks” and collaborated on the
classic TV sketch comedy show “In Living Color.”
Comedy fans that are hungry for more Wayans will soon be
able to tune into their “scripted comedy” series for VH1, “The Life and times
of Marcus ‘Felony’ Brown.”
WMA and manager Lisa
Suzanne Blum represent the three brothers.
