The Golden State Warriors were hotter then the Suns and by beating them 129-114 at ORACLE Arena they ended Phoenix’s eight-game winning streak.
Stephen Jackson led the Warriors in scoring with 32 points and also had eight rebounds. Monta Ellis closely followed with 31 points and he scored 15 of those in the final quarter. The crafty guard Baron Davis had 28 points and 10 assists and Al Harrington tallied 14 points for Golden State, who have won six of seven since starting the season with six consecutive defeats.
The Warriors were 13-of-28 from three-point range and scored 45 points in the opening quarter.
"That was a quality win - our best game of the year, (or) it was close,'' Nelson said.

Steve Nash had 23 points and 13 assists for the Suns, who last ended a game in defeat on November 7th it Atlanta. The Suns are now 11-3, while the Warriors are 6-7. Amare Stoudemire and Grant Hill scored 17 apiece for Phoenix. Leandro Barbosa scored 16 points, while Shawn Marion had 14 rebounds but just 10 points on 5-of-14 shooting.
The Warriors beat the Suns at their game as they recorded 25 fast break points, while the Suns had just 17. Nash and Co. also had 20 turnovers, twice more than the Warriors.
"We just turned the ball over a lot,'' D'Antoni said.”A lot of them were unforced, and maybe they wore out legs out. We need to get into better shape from some of the guys.''
After Baron Davis tossed up a three-pointer for a 110-96 Golden State lead with 9:33 left in the game, Monta Ellis began his show. He started his run with a 17-foot jumper and went on to score 15 straight points. He didn’t stop until after scoring on a driving lay-up that left the score board showing 125-110 with 3:36 left.
