There are two more days until Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San
Francisco begins and countless rumors are flying around all over the Internet.
Apple Computers CEO,
Steve Jobs, is expected to present the people attending the event with several
new very interesting products.
The subject of
numerous discussions, not yet confirmed by the company, but considered to be a
sure thing by everyone, is the launch of the new iPhone II. The 3G version of
the iPhone will operate on AT&T’s faster
network, thus enabling customers to experience a significant speed boost with
their service.
It is said that the device may also come with GPS navigation, in-built instant messaging and a video-chat feature.
According to Fortune, all this could be made
available for the very reasonable price of $199, which is rather
surprising, given the fact the existing iPhone versions go for $399 and $499.
Other highly anticipated launches include
those of a new Macbook Pro external design, an upgrade
for the iPhone and iPod Touch operating system and a Mac OS X 10.6
preview.
To date, no official statement has been
released so one can only guess as to how the WWDC will
unroll. There is one thing we can count on though: as far as conferences go,
the June 9 event will be an interesting thing to see.
