Vrrrrrum! Hyundai Genesis – ‘Beauty and Aggression’

The New York International Auto Show will open its gates this year on March 21 and is ready to bring the latest creations from BMW, Ford Motor, General Motors, Honda, Lexus, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Toyota and many others.

Among them, the future star of the show, Hyundai’s Genesis Coupe, the company’s vision in terms of concept car recently unveiled during a press conference at the Los Angeles International Auto Show and precedes the introduction of their 2009 spring line.

“The exaggerated Sonic Orange concept is complemented by a Ballistic Black carbon fiber hood, roof and ground effects for reduced weight. Strong hints of the production version are highlighted in its “Z” bodylines and powerful curves. When the production sports coupe arrives, it will be one of the most affordable 300+ horsepower cars on the market, and the most dynamic performance car yet from Hyundai,” the company said.

It appears as if its creators have tried to incorporate many opposite elements in this concept car: “beauty and aggression co-exist in the design of the Concept Genesis Coupe,” Eric Stoddard, senior creative designed said. “When viewed from a distance, the car is beautiful to look at. But up close, it can appear a bit menacing and even a little intimidating.”

This however is not the only thin the New York International Auto Show has in store for its visitors, as this will be again a year of innovation and cars for the future. Saab is planning to unveil its 9-X BioHybrid, combining comfort, reliability, sporty looks and impressive electronic equipment for its customers. Acura TSX Sedan will also debut in New York, before appearing on the market in 2009, along with Dodge, also planning to unveil its models for next year.
